Local events guide 2010

 

Below is a list of club meetings and local events where we are planning to have a club display.

 

This list is correct as of 4th March 2010, and will be subject to change over the course of the year, so please see the club newsletter for the latest information or contact the Events Secretary if you would like to attend an event that isn’t listed here.

 

If you would like to display your car on the club stand, please book well in advance, places are limited for all events and there are deadlines for booking (not all shown here) - so check up in the newsletter, and BOOK EARLY or be disappointed.

 

VW shows are in Blue, Classic shows in Green and club meetings in Red.

2nd - Ripon Racecourse classic show - camping available 1st May. Contact Bill Winder by phone or at a meeting to book.

JUNE

5th & 6th - Classic Tatton, Contact Bill Winder by phone or at a meeting to book. Must attend both days.

27th -  Houghton Tower Classic show - Contact Wayne Beattie.

JULY

4th - Garstang Classic car show with overnight camping 3rd July. Contact Bill Winder by phone or at a meeting to book.

11th - Leighton Hall Classic Car show. Contact Bill Winder by phone or at a meeting to book.

AUGUST

7th & 8th - Woodvale rally, RAF Woodvale Nr Formby. Contact Wayne Beattie before 30th April to book a place on the club stand.

March 2010

     Our regular monthly meetings are now held at The Phantom Winger on the third Thursday of every month, starting at

7:30 / 8 pm. Read down the page for the exact 2009 dates.

 

        The Phantom Winger is right next to junction 1 of the M55,

next door to the Ibis hotel.

We meet on the raised area to the right of the front entrance.

 

        There’s a searchable Google map below.

You can click and drag and zoom in / out.

      Everyone is welcome to attend, you don't even have to be a club member, just come along to a meeting and see what you think!

Directions to The Phantom Winger

From the M6

 

Follow the signs for the M55 (Blackpool). Keep in the left hand lane as soon as you join the M55.

 

Come off at the first junction (1/2 a mile).

 

Keep in the left hand lane and take the first exit at the roundabout towards Preston.

 

Take the first left turning and continue to the small roundabout.

 

Straight across the roundabout takes you to the Phantom Winger car park.

From The M55 (Fylde Coast)

 

Leave the M55 at junction 1 (Preston).

 

Keep in the left hand lane and take the third exit from the big roundabout (A6, Preston)

 

Take the first left turning and continue down to the small roundabout.

 

Straight across the roundabout takes you to the Phantom Winger car park.

From the A6 heading North

 

Take the A6 up to Broughton roundabout (M55, Junction 1)

 

Get in the right hand lane and go all the way round the roundabout, so you are now heading back towards Preston.

 

Take the first left turning and continue down to the small roundabout.

 

Straight across the roundabout takes you to the Phantom Winger car park.

From the A6 going South

 

Follow the A6 to Broughton roundabout (M55, Junction 1)

 

Go straight across the roundabout following the A6 towards Preston.

 

Take the first left turning and continue down to the small roundabout.

 

Straight across the roundabout takes you to the Phantom Winger car park.
